I’ve always thought that the Mighty Mouse wasn’t quite right. Enter the Magic Mouse, I love my Logitech Revolution but this mouse comes in at a close second. Design wise the Magic Mouse is first, this thing is beautiful. It comes in its own jewel case! I love the attention to detail Apple goes through for everything. I think half of the joy of getting Apple products is opening it and realizing the time spent on just the packaging. As for one of my buddies it’s the new electronic smell of the product, and yes this mouse has that new electronic smell Rovi.
So for now the Magic Mouse is totally what I expected. Even with two AAs it’s pretty light, the Mighty Mouse was kind of on the heavy side. I also hated the glide the Mighty Mouse had, this new one is much better – smooth. I wouldn’t try to play games with this mouse but for browsing and working its perfect. There’s something about having a click wheel when playing games, the Revolution has an option to have a smooth or click wheel which helps when gaming.
